SWOSU CSA

Catholic Student Association of SWOSU and St. Eugene Parish, Weatherford OK.

St. Eugene Catholic Church is located at 704 N. Bryan (5 blocks east of Stewart Hall off College Street) Weatherford, OK 73096

WEEKEND MASS SCHEDULE: Saturday 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:30 a.m. Confessions are at 4:00 p.m. Saturday. First Saturday of the month mass will be 10:00 a.m.

WEEK DAY MASS SCHEDULE: Monday - No Mass; Tuesday - 6:30 p.m. Spanish; Wednesday - 6:30 p.m. Mass ; Thursday - 6:30 pm Mass on the third Thursday of the month; Friday - 6:30 pm Mass.

FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION AND BENEDICTION: Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is on the First Friday of each month, immediately following the 12:10 (noon) Mass, and lasts until 6:00 p.m. Benedication is at 6:15 p.m. We ask individuals to sign up for an hour with the Blessed Sacrament, as someone needs to be in the church at all times during these hours.

FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH: Mass will be at 10:00 am.

CSA SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: CSA will be having a Grillout on August 25th (After Mass) at 7:30 p. m. In the lower level of the RE building.

SWOSU STUDENTS--WELCOME!

1. We hope you are using our CSA area in the basement, especially on Wednesday evening after the 6:30 p.m. Mass.

2. WEDNESDAY COLLEGE LUNCH PROGRAM is still quite popular. All SWOSU students and faculty are invited to come for free lunch anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. starting Wednesday, August 25th, 2010. Friends are invited to join you.

3. Marriage Preparation classes are held, in the rectory for seven weeks. Anyone planning for marriage, contact the parish 580-772-3209.

4. Catholics Returning Home program is a program of reaching out to Catholics and inviting them to consider returning to our Catholic community. No strings attached! The program will be presented yearly after Easter and Chirstmas. Please watch the bulletin for details.

ARCHDIOCESAN EVENTS: None at this time.

WHAT WE OFFER:

The Catholic Student Association of St. Eugene Catholic Church meets regularly on Wednesday evenings after the 6:30 p.m. Mass. The Center itself is open a few nights a week for student use. A few of the students have keys to the center.
Through the year faith enrichment opportunities are available.
Marriage Preparation is provided for those students planning to get married.
Many college students serve in the parish as cantors, lectors, musicians, and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion. Some of the students help with St. Vincent dePaul Society, our local food bank.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated faculty sponsor, Les Rames, who is an excellent resource for a deeper understanding of the Catholic tradition.
Over the years we have provided conferences on Marriage and Family, classes for persons who have not been confirmed, as well as classes in church history. Many student have joined the Catholic Church through the parish Journey In Faith process (RCIA).

JOIN US AT TABLE:

The Wednesday College Lunch program is opened to all students and faculty. It is a home-cooked meal, with various kinds of casseroles, sloppy joes, brisket served throughout the year. College lunches are served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters; come as your schedule permits and join us for a fun lunch on Wednesdays. Lunch includes desserts and drinks.
